Kids, maybe it’s about time you heard the story of how The Bearded Man met KRONO. Don’t worry, it’s not as long-winded as How I Met Your Mother. Rather, it’s a quite simple story. The Bearded Man was in Central Park, beating the locals at 6 simultaneous timed chess games. It wasn’t for the money -- it was for the pure sport of it. After all, serious thinking and competition are the only way to keep one’s beard and mind sharp at all times.
There was one particularly difficult match, against two pesky young kids. The match ended in a draw, and The Bearded Man had to know who could possibly match his skills. It turned out it was KRONO, and a lifelong partnership was born, ultimately resulting in this remix of Chris Lago’s majestic tune ‘Royals’.

This unforgettable track becomes an exceptional moment that will stay forever in your heart thanks to the beloved KRONO who seems that are heading towards their big moment that wider audiences will discover them and appreciate their music creations. For this remix the French duo rather than delivering a version that djs can use in the club sets, they move on the other side by transforming the original into an experimental chill out / lounge style track that will relax your senses and calm you straight away. The mesmerising vocals are merged perfectly with the dark piano melodies, industrial dystopian synths and relaxing lazy grooves that run underneath. Hypnotic, strange, surprising, unique and not straight forward version that requires to listen it more than once in order to understand the complexity of the arrangement and the outstanding detailed sound design that brings KRONO at the top of my list for 2014. Thanks to this label for discovering a future favourite act! #PureGold Love It
