After much anticipation, the maiden release of Future Sound of Egypt Excelsior is finally here! To really define the essence of what the new sub label is all about, Hazem Beltagui and Jennifer Rene created ‘The Wonder’. Chill, emotional, laid-back, and perfect for Ibiza, ‘The Wonder’ is pure groove and breathtaking vocals.
Beltagui’s partner in crime in overseeing the new imprint, Bjorn Akesson, had to make a contribution as well, showing how he can turn the intensity up those extra few notches to really kick the party into night mode. With this release, we’re very proud and excited about all the good things to come!
Dimitri Kechagias review: FSOE recordings that is headed by the super successful duo Aly & Fila is expanding with FSOE Excelsior imprint which as we understand from the first release is going to cater for the progressive trance spectrum while the main label will stay faithful to uplifting euphoric trance sounds. The Wonder is a magnificent example of what I term as balearic progressive trance that is relaxing, smooth and tripping out. Bubbly basslines, tribal grooves, feel good emotional synths and warm strings that instantly radiate warmth and tenderness. The vocals are delivered from the amazing and absolutely lovable singer Jennifer Rene who once again proves how able she is to perform in a truly heartfelt and deeply sensitive direction. Her voice is magical and casts easily a spell on you and remains there for long. The breakdown is characterised from the highly sensitive piano chords that touch you deep and support Jennifer's song message even more to penetrate your mind straight away. The balearic dreamy electronic synth comes next and nicely lead the track to the climax that remains sweet, calm, relaxing, refreshing and travelling with swirling synths and piano melody that hypnotise your senses. Bjorn Akesson is on remix duties and the beloved Swedish trance superstar is remaking the track into a peak time big room neo progressive trancer. It starts with pulsating deep basslines and techy kick and lands on the first intro breakdown that is melodic and deeply emotional followed by the aggressive sharp and absolutely rocking drop. Punchy and energetic to the maximum with the main synthy melody coming in to drive the track in the main long breakdown that is melodic and sweet. The kick strikes back for the climax that starts electro tech trance but soon the euphoric full on hands in the air is added to please those who simply can not stand even one trance track without beautiful melodies.
