"Reckoning Song - One Day", the remix to the song by Asaf Avidan gave Wankelmut not only in Germany, but in Europe a name in the dance scene. With over 1.5 million-selling singles and 125 million clicks on YouTube Wankelmut delivered the anthem for the summer soundtrack of 2012.
Since then a lot has happened to the DJ and producer from Berlin. From renowned electronic music magazine GROOVE he was awarded "Newcomer of the Year". In particular, the entertaining and musical diversity between deep house and techno, Wankelmut presented as part of his DJ sets, earned him a respected and recognized status in the Electronic Music and DJ Scene
In April 2013 Wankelmut published his single "My Head Is A Jungle". Supported by the Australian singer / songwriter Emma Louise the track immediately conquered the European charts and in Germany manage with "My Head Is A Jungle" to reach the Top 30 of the singles chart. Especially the remix of the American House Music Legend MK aka Mark Kinchen was celebrated not only by critics. In Ibiza, the song in the summer of 2013 was one of the most played tracks in the club.
This summer is now following the re-release of the single with another MK remixes. MKs timeless House pianos are made for the catchy track "My Head Is A Jungle". The classic MK Dub completes this remix package with confidence.
After the track has been picked from the BBC Radio 1 B-list and watched the video more than six million times on YouTube, and was played on Soundcloud over 3.7 million times, "My Head Is A Jungle" in UK reached number 5 in the official charts! An incredible success!
With a total of 6 tracks of the MK remix of "My Head Is A Jungle" was published on 15/08/2014 and promises to be the next summer hit for Wankelmut . Dimitri Kechagias remixes: The history of electronic music tracks that manage to crossover and reach the high positions in the mainstream charts proves that always a particular remix manage to support certain underground track to enter the rotation of radio stations and from there to become massive success stories. The same applies for Wankelmut with his magnificent My Head Is A Jungle featuring the infectious ethereal vocals by Emma Luise who has that retro sounding romantic voice that casts a spell on you. The beloved MK did what he can do best at the moment by transforming the moody esoteric track into an upbeat deep garage house USA style version with happy old school pianos, chunky grooves, funky basslines and great atmosphere in the breakdown.
