After just the whole hip-hop world has turned upside down with his "Innanetape" mixtape last year, Vic Mensa, Chicago's latest rap export his official debut single "Down On My Luck" at Virgin EMI! Vic unwraps his ultra casual flow in this case over a driving dance beat, he pushes again the boundaries of hip-hop genre but simultaneously provides a track from which is acted and not without reason as clubhit candidate!
The new single was formed when Vic Mensa was just with UK dance sensation Disclosure on U.S. tour, which would also explain the driving dancefloor impact. He also won as a co-producer Stefan Ponce, the DJ of Childish Gambino, into the boat.
"Down On My Luck", which already was number 1 in the Hype Machine charts and in UK by the likes of Zane Lowe Radio show is the first foretaste of Vic Mensa's upcoming EP "Street Lights".
