REVIEW: Jochen Simms feat. Belle - The First Time incl. Bass mix on Koolwaters

Fresh new artwork, fresh new music! Koolwaters return once again with another fine helping of top notch House music courtesy of Jochen Simms. Having seen his Hotfingers release ‘Your Not Alone’ (of Olive fame) sit inside the Beatport House top 5 it’s clear that this man is on a mission to cement his place amongst the House elite!

Featuring the vocal talents of UK singer ‘Belle’, ‘The First Time’ is a pumping vocal led hot houser with an infectiously funky Hispanic guitar breakdown which makes way for a sleazy, deep electro bass line grove which is interspersed with acutely placed vocal chops!

As a bonus on the flip Jochen has rehashed the original idea a little and created a dirty, groove laden, chunky, affair suitable for the later, harder floors!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Koolwaters is the magnificent underground house imprint owned by the legend Marc Vedo who has many hits under his belt. It is a highly consistent label that manages always to deliver high class house releases that will have sure impact on the dancefloor without any delays. The brand new release comes from Jochen Simms who seems to be on the rise and he collaborates with the sexy and truly sweet voice of Belle for the track The First Time. The package includes two very strong versions that will do the damage for sure. First of all the original mix is a wonderful combination of deep tech house with Balearic relaxing sounds that turn the track perfectly into the big club burner for hot Ibiza dance sessions. The breakdown is the moment that the excellent Belle vocals are  fully revealed along with the Hispanic guitar riffs that will catch you by surprise without doubts. For the drop he applies the classic UK garage house infused bassline but in a such a way that sounds appropriate for big room house sets as well. The track has great energetic vibes, is very danceable and totally irresistible without doubts and tailor made for summer house parties. The Bass Mix as the title of it suggests adopts heavier bassline that sounds deep, throbbing pulsating and extremely dominating so you can expect the clubbers going mad with it. Both versions are quality modern house cuts that merge wide variety of influences and comes up with the #PureGold goods so its definitely highly recommended. Love it
