REVIEW: Damian Wasse - Ancient Empire out on In Trance We Trust / Black Hole recordings

1. Original Mix

Russian fella Damian Wasse now presents ‘Ancient Empire’, his brand new release on In Trance We Trust. And boy, does he deliver with this great uplifting anthem-like piece of trance with its cheery though a little mysterious melody. ‘Ancient Empire’ once again shows you can definitely leave producing trance masterpieces to Damian Wasse.

Damian Wasse is one of the biggest representatives of the progressive and uplifting trance genre in Russia. His releases are supported by Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Ashley Wallbridge, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Rank 1, Lange, Paul Oakenfold, Roger Shah, MIKE, Pedro Del Mar and many more.

Dimitri Kechagias review: In Trance We Trust is the legendary record label that is trusted and supported for many years from the international trance family. The brand new release comes from the hands of Damian Wasse and is called Ancient Empire. The very talented and upcoming producer delivers another prime time weapon ready for mass dancefloor destruction that will definitely become one of your favourites. It moves in the big room progressive trance territory with tough bouncy techy meaty groove, punchy aggressive electro influenced bassline that drive the track forward while on top Damian decorates it with percussive melodies, swirling synths, chopped vocal samples and tight arrangement that builds intensity at ery  early on. His breakdown stays true to the title of the track with massive orchestral music theme, classic piano chords, opera choir vocals, airy pads and blissful synths. The revelation of the huge distorted rave style synthy riff will drive the crowd mad and you can expect the unexpected without doubts. The climax is absolutely over the top with roof raising synths, epic themes and energetic pulsating basslines raising the tension to the maximum for the best pleasure and enjoyment. The final sequence goes totally off the hook on the huge tech trance section. Hands in the air material perfect for mainstage festival performances. #PureGold Love iT
