A WONDERFUL STORY
26 August 1995, former Hahn NATO airbase: 13,000 ravers of the still fledgling techno scene experience something totally new – they celebrate the first, large-scale open-air rave. A celebration of freedom and open-mindedness. Surrounded by nature, between fields and forests. It is here that an incredible story starts to unfold – it is the wonderful story of NATURE ONE.
One year later: the move to Pydna missile base. What were once used as missile taxiways are transformed into open-air dance floors, the grass-covered bunkers into chill-out zones. NATURE ONE brings peace to the last vestiges of the Cold War.
1997 sees NATURE ONE become a “proper” festival. For a full weekend. With camping and tents. The irrepressible “We-Feeling” emerges for the first time.

And the butterflies glide gracefully through the summer winds. Then close your eyes and listen to how your hearts are beating. Open your minds and your souls like a flower its blossoms. The first clubs move into NatureOne land the following year, exchanging neon lights and the cacophony of city traffic for fireflies and chirping crickets. In 1998 there are seven club floors; the number today: 19. The year 2000 sees NatureOne land opening its gates for the first time as early as the Thursday and kicking off with the “Mixery-Opening”. The new formula reads: 4 days and 3 nights!

NATURE ONE quickly becomes the largest and most popular festival for electronic music in Germany, winning awards and regularly notching up new records for the numbers attending. Last year’s figure: 64,000!
2014: The Golden 20. The grand anniversary! It will have the same magic as 1995. The glittering birthday cake is the Golden 20 Floor, with only those artists appearing who performed at the very first NATURE ONE.
