ADE 2014: ADE Venues: Who is up for the Woo?

Jimmy Woo is not your ordinary nightclub and has been participating with ADE since its opening in 2003.

Most people that are Amsterdam based will probably know Jimmy Woo for its exclusive concept. It is known to be a usual suspect in ADE's festival program. The mesmerizing interior of the venue, located on the buzzing Leidseplein, makes it a luxurious intimate club and its founding story is quite remarkable, to say the least.

Nothing more intriguing than mystery
Jimmy Woo is the notorious businessman from Hong Kong who announced he was going to open a new club in an unknown location in Amsterdam back in 2003. At least that is what Casper Reinders, entrepreneur and collector of Chinese antique, who actually founded Jimmy Woo, made the world believe. Mister Woo was the fictional owner who was an opium dealer and kung fu master as well, according to rumors. Reinders kept the mystery alive for quite a while, even after the official opening.

Door policy
Jimmy Woo has a strict door policy and there is no guarantee you will get in if you are not on the guest list. Your faith lies in the hands of the firm but fair door bitch. Because of the strict selection you will most likely be surrounded by the finest party crowds when you get in. There is no better moment to check out this legendary club than during ADE.
