Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label Digital Society recordings that represents the sound of the most successful trance club in UK Digital Society in Leeds presents the brand new remixes of the massive hit for the label Epic by the one and only dj, producer, radio host and Grotesque event promoter RAM. Epic is remixed in perfection by James Dymond & Cold Rush. First of all is James Dymond who adopts for this remix his progressive trance/big room trance sound. He does what he knows best as he applies fat banging grooves, driving energetic playful basslines, electro friendly effects and epic synthy leads. His breakdown starts with chopped vocal samples followed by orchestral classical music theme, opera choir vocal samples and of course the revelation of the rave style massive manic synthy riff that builds anticipation and nicely carry as away to his climax that is tech trance with aggressive playful basslines and pounding kicks along with some little synths. The results is an underground minded interpretation that particularly the darker trancefloors will feel affiliated with. Cold Rush never stop to impress and their mix goes the full on hands in the air uplifting direction perfect for those 138 BPM and above dj sets. Metallic sharp kicks, throbbing punchy driving bassline and euphoric synthy layers along with heavenly voices. The breakdown is truly mesmerising with nice warm atmosphere that is interrupted when the mysterious voice announce EPIC and the huge rave style synthy lead comes to the surface to push the clubbers to their limits.
