REVIEW: Lana Del Rey - West Coast incl new remixes out on Universal Music Germany

You got the music in you, don't you

Lana Del Rey still has this certain sadness, but her new single "West Coast" from the forthcoming album ULTRAVIOLENCE is no more sombre Operetta, rather a simple and hypnotic evocation of lifestyle on the U.S. West Coast. Rick Nowels - inter alia responsible for Summertime Sadness - remains Lana Del Rey's producer with his  Noir-pop style. Dan Auerbach turn, producer of the Black Keys, makes this template a heart-pounding like psych-rock production, which is characterised by a surprising change of pace. The magic, however, comes from somewhere else, this is Lana alone with her unique vocal performance and lyrics like "He's crazy and Cubano / Como you` re my love ".

Dimitri Kechagias review: Lana Del Ray is one of the most important artists in the modern pop world. She manage to inject with her performance and lyrics some art touches in the pop culture. Her latest track West Coast is an excellent deep brooding haunting dreamy track that transcends the listener to USA West Coast for sure. Her lyrics and very unique voice is what wins your interest and engage your ear whenever and wherever you may hear this beautiful chill out anthem. The remix package is always the highest class that you can think and pray for. First of all the beloved MK delivers his deep tech meets garage house version that is playful, smooth and very danceable as well. Lana's vocals sounds at home within his excellent grooves and funky sexy rhythms. Both remixes he delivers have the words Ibiza Anthem written all over them and underground and mainstream djs will adore to play them. The Grades ICON remix starts with ambient chilly intro and very soon moves to the carefree feel good deep house main section. It's relaxing loungy house version that calms your senses while you shake your booty and sing a long hypnotised the beautiful lyrics. Last but not least the brilliant Solomun service the deep haunting version that captures the psy rock melancholic side of the original and translates it into a massive dark and long odyssey of noises, melodies, harmonies and the awesome vocals by Lana Del Ray! Solomun sounds the perfect choice to give this dark track the moody haunting clubfloor friendly make over that you can play it on repeat mode again and again and again! The latest remix to add in the extensive package comes from the upcoming and quickly rising at the top deep electronic music star Alle Farben. His remix is simply delicious as he arranges his deep haunting basslines with his techy chunky grooves and extensive application of luscious romantic melodic synthy themes and superb acoustic guitar riffs. The track now sounds more balearic, tripping out and absolutely must play that attracts the ears and bodies on the dancefloor like magnet. The top dj & producer MANTU from Berlin who acts as A&R for the legendary imprint Get Physical service the top deep tech house meets electronic style version that sounds refreshing in the summer and warm and tender in the winter. Packed with organic elements and live feel is a great remix to keep radio station addicted with the track. Yavuz Ak & FevZee  service the very deep trippy groovy so damn sexy atmospheric version with minimal application of the vocals as the main focus is on the nice tribal grooves and the haunting moody dark basslines. Last but not least Seymen & Minuzzi remix continues on that hybrid sound of deep house, electronic and Rhythm N Blues quitar riffs with  fantastic result! #PureGold Highly recommended! Love IT
