Solarstone has selected some of his favorite tracks from his Pure Trance 2 album and bundled them into two EP’s. On this second EP are releases by Stuart Millar, Will Atkinson, Joey Chilson and AERO 21.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Pure Trance Vol.2 mixed and compiled by Solarstone & Giuseppe Ottaviani was definitely one of the finest compilations in the trance scene released last year. The influence of that compilation is still upon us and it is time to get our hands on the extended versions of the best tracks included in it. Dj Selection Part 2 includes top tracks that will become instantly your favourites if you follow what we term as Pure Trance sound. First of is the exceptional Stuart Millar with his beautiful travelling progressive trance beauty Always A Moment. The main synthy lead on this is so addictive that you will be hooked instantly and you will feel obliged to press play more than once for sure. It's the old school 2000 style trancer that has the right amount of energy and empowers the listener without being banging or aggressive. Very beautiful track that easily stands out and reminds us classics from artists like M.I.K.E Push. Will Atkinson is on board with his high class banger Hermosa. The ultra talented dj and producer proves that he is able to rock the crowds with his tough dirty acidic groove, in your face basslines while on top he adds some psy trance influences as well. His breakdown is mouthwatering with the epic piano melody that is repeated again and again until the massive drop comes and the various plucky synths appear along with the main one that has as a mission to drive the track to its full on inspirational climax with heavenly female voices and feel good Ibiza trance synths on top. It packs sea, sun and fun in one magical track! Joey Chilson takes part in the compilation with Lost & Found. He is definitely a new name in trance but quite promising as well. Dynamic groove that shakes and rolls with driving bassline that take you for an enjoyable ride to space. The melodic content will surprise your ears with melodramatic sad orchestral strings in the breakdown along with the airy pads and the plucky synths that build the magical soundscape that you can not escape from it! The climax is straight to the point and very emotional as well. It's not the happy fluffy trance but is rather the more moody epic and thoughtful that makes you feel sceptical and in that way captivates your thoughts while you dance the night away. Last but not least AERO 21 drops his fantastic tune Performance. Its a solid power trancer with techy solid groove, punchy driving bassline and beautiful synths on top. The breakdown is very deep with warm strings, emotional piano chords. The climax comes after the classic drum rolls as the track reaches its final destination in truly melodic colourful positive and optimistic way. Its the sunny summery trance sound that will be played in Ibiza this summer! #PureGold Love iT
