Tiësto's new single "Wasted" premiered in the UK l at Pete Tong's celebrated BBC Radio 1 show.
The song features a rich, pop-influenced sound, but also retains the euphoric energy of the harder club anthems that Tiësto is known for. With "Wasted" he presents his precise production talent and masterful sense of chart hits again. An incredibly infectious hook, melodic synthlines, anthemic crescendos and a throbbing bassline - "Wasted" has all the typical features of a further crossover chart Smash Hit.
After the stunning success of his single "Red Lights" - the first of his songs ever to reach # 6 at the top 10 of the Official UK Singles Chart. With the prospect of his new, long awaited album, "Wasted" is another hit guaranteed that will impress the listeners.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Tiesto is one of those artists that manage to write his own chapter in the history of electronic dance music. He is very lucky to have in his career many first ideas that other djs followed them. For instance he was the first to organise a concert with him playing at the stage not in his natural place that is the dj booth in the club but in a stadium in front of thousands clubbers who came to stare at him as they do when they go in a concert to watch an orchestra or a pop artist. In that way he immediately raised the profile of dj profession as a job that deserves the rock star status. Also he was first to release those concerts on DVD's and in that way to spread their influence all over the world. Tiesto is the first for trying new ideas and his track Wasted is definitely not something you expect from a dj who plays fat banging beats and booming heavy basslines. He decides to release a track that doesn't target the clubs but clearly targets the radio stations and the audience who is not very familiar with EDM and definitely with this track he focus in the USA market. With 112 BPM the track is very slow for a club track but we all hope for a massive remix package that will allow the fellow djs to play it in their dj sets. One of the highlights is Matthew Koma who has one of the finest voices in EDM and his performance in every single track he takes part manage to elevate the instrumental to another higher level. Rough beats are included, tough basslines are smashed in, euphoric synths are injected and nice rock guitar riffs are melted into it. Chart HIT 100% with American flavour! Now the package comes complete with additional fat club remixes. Mike Mago is on remix duties and he does his best to take us deep down with his awesome deep tech translation. Minimal techy groovy beats, deep haunting basslines, 90's acid house influences, pitched down vocals and great atmosphere perfect to relax and drink your favourite fruit punch in a cool beach bar. It smells summer holidays and dark sleazy Wasted nights out. TST remix turns the original into a power stormer with heavy hard house drums, aggressive punchy basslines and cool breakdown with piano chords and the outstanding vocal along with euphoric synthy stabs. The drop is hard as nails so better get all the precautions needed cause you are about to rock n roll hard with hands in the air and you guessed it right. You will feel totally and utterly Wasted. Last but not least the beatport chart hit man Ummet Uzcan. His version is playful and perfect to party hard all night long. He applies melodic pop touched breaks with summer party guitar riffs combined with twisted euphoric synths folled by harder electro house drops with wonky basslines and bouncy kicks that work like a treat in any summer festival situation. Excellent remix package to create havoc on any dancefloor! #PureGold Love iT
