In fact MK, fresh from his unstoppable UK #1 single, loved "Givin’ It Up" so much that he found the time in his hectic schedule to turn out a remix. Built around the swirling vocals of Antony & Cleopatra, his mix is a masterclass in groove, blending shuffling percussion with an infectious yet subtle piano refrain to create a true retro gem. Reminiscent of the classic 90s piano house sound that MK himself helped pioneer, it’s easy to see why he’s one of dance music’s most exciting artists right now.

piano number. A surging piano riff drives the track through to an old
school breakdown straight out of 1992, complete with melodic stabs,
syncopated drums and of course the infectious vocal.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The eclectic house record label Anjunadeep presents one of its biggest tracks for 2014 that is destined to have big commercial success as well. The remix package has landed and I must confess that I love deeply all the remixes cause simply manage to bring back real pure house music through the prism of younger producers who successfully recreate the first early underground house vibes. MK aka Mark Kichen transforms the original into his own deep tech house journey that will easily hypnotise big crowds with its techy chunky grooves and deep funky playful basslines. The very nice synthy melodies that he applies ca add even a kind of "trance" feel to the track and of course the brilliant old school piano melody. The vocal is elevated even higher and sounds crystal clear and highly addictive. Isaac Tichauer and DJ Nibc remix is a wonderful break beat infused version with early 90's smell that sounds retro and very refreshing as well. The jazzy piano melody stands out along with the acid house influences that inevitably recall memories from the past. The vocal is chopped and twisted around and the only moment that is allowed to shine is the breakdown. It's top version for those who like less vocals in their dj set. Panda remix is getting huge A class support at the moment with djs like Annie Mac from BBC Radio 1 giving it an extra push. Wonderful version that remains on the retro house style with many fresh ideas and many warm analogue like sounds. When everything and anything is digital it seems that producers search for warmth elsewhere. The stand out moment is the piano that will be remembered for long.
