1. Escape (Flatdisk Remix)
2. Escape (Manse Remix)
3. Escape (Charity Strike Remix)
At the tail end of 2013, few summer anthems have held their corner quite to the extent of Paris & Simo and 3LAU's vocal collaborative "Escape" alongside Heather Bright. In the wake of such a landmark release, Revealed Recordings put remix duties out there for the next generation of talent. With over 1700 submissions pouring in from across the globe, Hardwell and his dedicated label team handpicked Italian duo Flatdisk as overall winners of the competition, the release of which comes accompanied by two additional entries to further Revealed's commitment to shining a light on cutting edge dance talents. Reigning from Italy, Flatdisk use their first place remix to test the musical boundaries of this Beatport chart-topping original, leaping from two-step digressions to adrenaline fuelled drops whilst maintaining the original's unforgettable melodic assets. Swedish newcomer Manse then dons an uplifting and melodic rem ix sure to captivate the peak time crowds, leaving LA-based duo Charity Strike to bring the bounce with a festival-proofed electro cut with huge dance floor potential. With 2014 already promising new and familiar talents from across the globe and a continuation of the essential floor fuel we have seen Revealed consistently deal in, one thing is for certain - the future of global dance music has never sounded so promising.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Entering remix competitions is definitely a suitable step to make yourself known, attract attention and see your name on the sleeves of well known record labels. Revealed recordings presents the winning remixes on the massive feel good single Escape by 3LAU, Paris & Simo. 3 must play versions that bring new fresh light on the huge track that is adored a lot in its original version. The winning remix is by Flatdisk and what you get is a mixture of powerful dominating beats, punchy in your face basslines and French disco house/ Daft Punk touches as well. Melodic breakdown with rock guitar riffs with the awesome Bright Lights heartfelt vocals followed by a huge chunk of dubstep to microwave your brain. The climax is fat, rough and furius so hands in the air will stay for long. Manse remix moves on the straight forward Swedish epic progressive house road with long melodic breakdown, huge synths, pumping beats and rough basslines to unite and dance with your mates. Lastly Charity Strike is moving towards the mainstage festival house with ever harder beats and hardstyle heavy basslines in the climax while the breakdown is sweet, emotional and tender with trap touches as well. Top original translated with superb new remixes. Good Luck to all the young talents that took part in the competition and keep it up with more mindblowing beats. Love iT
