REVIEW: Craig Connelly & Christina Novelli - Black Hole Remixes out on Garuda Music

'Black Hole' is back! The remix package of Craig Connelly and Christina Novelli's uplifting summer trance anthem features the incredible production talent of Blake Jarrell and Jorn Van Deynhoven and is out now on Beatport via Garuda Music.

A set favorite amongst top DJs worldwide, ‘Black Hole’ shot straight to the No. 1 spot on Beatport’s Trance chart and into the top 40 overall, with John O'Callaghan even quoting it as his 'Tune Of The Summer'. Just as popular as its soundtrack, the official music video featuring Novelli and Connelly has received almost a quarter million views to date. You can watch the music video below.

Now with the solicited help of Jorn Van Deynhoven and Blake Jarrell, the already contender for Trance Track of the Year has received a breath of fresh air in the form of two diverse remixes.

Jorn Van Deynhoven takes the energy up a level, quickening the pace and plumping its chord progressions to produce a fuller festival sound. Already making waves in the trance world, the Dutch/German’s remix scored 'Future Favorite' on ASOT631, as well as being personally selected to feature on Disc 2 of Universal Religion 7 by Armin van Buuren himself. Van Deynhoven's mix has also been supported globally by John O'Callaghan, Aly & Fila (Wonder of the Week on FSOE EP307), Bryan Kearney, Mark Sherry, Greg Downey and many more.

For the second remix, American producer Blake Jarrell takes ‘Black Hole’ a darker direction balancing the track’s trancey breakdowns with grindy big room beats and basslines and ethereal lulls, with a touch of cerebral progressive sensibilities. The grittier of the two mixes has also been making its rounds on the circuit, seeing radio support from Gareth Emery and Super8 & Tab.

About Jorn van Deynhoven:
When not in the studio producing hits like ‘Six Zero Zero’ and ‘Superfly,’ international DJ Jorn van Deynhoven can be found globetrotting the world to performances in front of sold out crowds.

Instantly the clubbers are spellbound by the journey they embark on. He doesn't play the music for himself, but for them and it is this which makes him unique as a DJ."

Dimitri Kechagias review: If there is one track that can be easily named as the vocal trance anthem of the year is definitely Craig Connelly's uplifting beauty Black Hole featuring the exceptional and always stand out vocals by Christina Novelli. The original mix was played many times and sounded like a meteor travelling with the speed of light and we wonder when is going to hit the earth. Now Garuda Music releases for the common folks after the superstar djs playing them very often in their sets and radio shows,  the two brand new remixes that will be adored and explored in the coming months. First of all the very talented and absolutely stunning Blake Jarrell service the epic prog house meets trance version with dirty electrified basslines, chunky groovy beats, and superb rework of the original euphoric synthy themes  to make it proper for the big rooms and mainstage sets.  Energetic, spacious and sparkling playful version that keeps the reputation of Blake at the highest possible place. On board is the master of uplifting trance Jorn van Deynhoven who delivers the full on hands in the air straight forward epic uplifting trance version that stays true to the spirit of pure and real trance with mesmerising luscious breakdown that Christina performance stands out and shines. The original melodic theme is reworked perfectly with distorted rave style synthy leads that explode to raise the excitement just before beat kicks back for an uplifting euphoric feel good ride that melodies, tough beats, smashing basslines and great heavenly voices and vocals prepare the finest soundscapes to escape within and find yourself maybe in it! Two effective remixes with sure and unquestioned impact on the dancefloor. Love iT
