Rising star Sean Mathews is back for another dollop of high quality, high octane trance on Infrasonic Future with his ‘Northern Lights’ E.P.
Straight off the mark we begin with ‘Northern Lights’ and Sean instantly shows what he’s capable of and delivers another pure trance journey. Expect a huge euphoric break, mind blowing drop and crowd pleasing vibe.
Next up, Sean drops another essential cut in the form of ‘Legendary’. One for the trance purists, this is a no nonsense trancer as Sean cranks up the dials. Another peak time track is on the cards, as quite simply a “legendary” track is born.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The quality record label Infrasonic Future continues its mission to expose the next big thing in trance with the very talented Sean Mathews and his beautiful Northern Lights EP. Two very impressive tracks that demand from the listener to stop what he is doing and concentrate on them. First of all is the magnificent Northern Lights. Pure euphoric trancer at its very best with intensity, drive and energy to keep hands in the air. The breakdown is mesmerising with luscious relaxing synthy melodies and big star the rock guitar riff that adds that Pink Floyd edge to it. The climax is straight forward with beats, synths and guitar riffs that co-exist in harmony building that very magical soundscape we all expect to get in a trance track. Legendary continues on the same uplifting euphoric trance direction with all the codes and conventions of the genre respected and further developed. The big guitar riff that is the signature element of the EP attracts the focus on this track as well and sounds to me even larger than the previous track. It adds atmosphere and creates that after summer autumn mood melancholy deep inside. Pure trance beauties not to be missed. Love iT
