On his way up with the successful Arisen Flame project since 2010, Maciej Węsek built himself quite the reputation. His tracks have always been a welcome addition to the A State of Trance show, so it’s no wonder that his ‘Gladius’ now made it to the latest chapter of Armin van Buuren’s Universal Religion.

Arisen Flame is on board after his many releases on smaller record labels and definitely this release is a highlight and turning point in his career. Gladius is a high class proglifting / Big Room trance beauty that has the energy and powerforce to keep the clubbers dancing till the morning light. The proggy beats, the driving electro kissed basslines, the exceptional cinematic strings and the gated opera style female voices create the right sound foundation that ensures that the dancefloor will be packed. On the breakdown the epic orchestral classical music theme is revealed and remind us the soundtrack of classic historic films from Hollywood. Its the moment that waving hands will be raised with lighters in the air. Of course the beat strikes back and the burst of energy is phenomenal as the track goes for an unforgettable crescendo. Unity is moving on the same proglifting/ Big Room Trance territory with main difference that sounds faster, punchy and more in your face. The breakdown is cinematic and dreamy to give the crowd the moments of relaxation that they demand with sweet synths and heavenly female voices on top. The huge rave style distorted synth lead appears to disrupt the calm before the storm that is coming in the massive climax. Epic and dynamic to the maximum has the word prime time weapon written all over it! Congratulations to Arisen Flame for getting the recognition he deserves with release on a such a prolific label.
