The single 'The Sun' by Western Disco is going to conquer clubs across Europe.
Western Disco is the pseudonym of Italian producer Steve Evansson, who has worked with artists such as Goldfrapp and Robert Plant. For the production of The Sun, he has called the support from the international chart guarantors Danielle Davoli and Mirko Limoni of the legendary Black Box formation. The highlight of the song is the quintessential Portuguese singer Lura.
UK enjoys "The Sun" already with loyal support of the radio station BBC Radio 1, Kiss and Capital FM. And in Germany, "The Sun", will soon ensure that the sun is back and remains there.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The retro deep tech house movement continues with Western Disco and their stunning sure made hit for the autumn to remind us the summer that is gone called The Sun. The hit originates in the hit factory that is Time records from Italy with thousands club hits under their belt. The Sun is marvellous, relaxing, mesmerising and feel good. The beats are deep and addictive, the melody sweet and warming, the characteristic flute riff, the balearic guitar riffs will take you all the way to Ibiza and the vocal is incredible and so good that you simply want to sing a long. It sounds so flower power 70's to me and so beautiful too. Don't miss this essential piece for meditation and well being! The package is even better now with the stunning remixes added to it. Andrea Mazzali provides the magnificent 9 minutes epic arrangement of warm strings, organic percussion, ambient relaxing breakdown with the inspirational lyrics and the unforgettable flute riff to get hooked on it for long. Absolutely essential for any deep tech house dj. Black Box remix starts with the nice flute to start whistling along with those vocals that will be hard to forget. Balearic guitar riffs, little synths, tribal drums and heavy Italo disco influence to it. The pioneer and real legend Paul Oakenfold transforms the original into a peak time trancer of the highest quality. The production is simply magnificent. Driving energetic trance with great breakdown that allows the original vocal to come out and then the huge rave style synthy lead is revealed to pump your energy levels. Paul once again impress us as he adds the remix that will be played in big festivals and club events. Of course this single needs a beautiful ambient chill out remake and the DIY remix is the liquid tranquillity state version to calm and sooth the senses. Finally on the deep tech house 70's inspired sound remains the excellent WD Own Club mix. Hypnotic, dubby with less vocals that reserved for the breakdown, great oriental sounding drums and warm melodies. Its the more erotic, deep and sexy version in my ears. Quality package not to be missed. Love IT
