Samuel Dan was always likely to end up making and playing music around the world: his father was a DJ and programmer, and so Samuel’s respect for, and admiration of, the music world has been fomented over many years. Now, having experimented in a rock band with friends, he has come full circle and is back twiddling knobs and faders across Europe.
2005 saw the young Spaniard get his first gigs, with plenty more coming flooding in during a year spent in Germany as a student. In Germany, Samuel cut his teeth, learning and improving his trade in and around some key clubs. Couple this with his studies in computer science at the Universidad Politécnica of Valencia and the man’s production skills have now got him some serious recognition.
In his own DJ sets you will hear plenty of different house and tech styles, and for that reason he has been booked to play Aquarium in London, Decadance in Belgium, Kindergarten in Italy and a number of other festivals, but so too is Samuel a key resident at leading Spanish club Barraca. Despite all this, you still feel the man is just getting started…

Dimitri Kechagias review: The very strong record label Takt records presents the latest amazing production by Samuel Dan. Its called Thank You All and it includes one of the best spoken vocal sample used ever in a tech house anthem like this one. The original mix is an atmospheric super groovy tech house slammer that is dark and underground with some spacey weird noises coming and going adding a certain tension and anxiety to it. There is a dub remix as well for those who would like to get less vocals. The Union remix is an upfront tech house version perfect for the peak moment of your dj set. Packed with irresistible grooves and uptempo atmosphere it sounds appropriate for dj sets by Danny Tenaglia, Erick Morillo and other house legends. Its modern sounding but at the same time with strong references to the past of house music. Lastly the second original track Nothing Left is an even more deep tech house production that is calming and very hypnotic as well. It includes lovely male vocals that sound mysterious and quite intoxicated as well. The track has cinematic atmosphere ad will certainly will challenge your mind and imagination. Creative tracks with distinctive identity to stand out from the rest. Love iT!
