Pet Shop Boys REMIXES for "Vocal" are out and about. "VOCAL"is taken from the forthcoming Stuart Price produced album ‘Electric’, which is released on July 15 through Pet Shop Boys’ own x2 Recordings (via Kobalt Label Services). ‘Vocal’ will also be released on CD, 12" and as a digital bundle at a later date.
‘Vocal’ follows ‘Axis’, the first track to appear from ‘Electric’, which was made available to download in April to a flurry of critical acclaim:
“Extremely good 10/10”– Popjustice
“A triumphant return”– Metro
“Just as disreputably banging as you might expect, spinning your head round its axis of amyl with a ferocious robo-house mid-section”– NME
“Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe sound fired up and re-wired” Q
Pet Shop Boys are currently on the worldwide ‘Electric’ tour, for which Q Magazine recently gave 4 stars in an early review.
‘Electric’ features nine tracks in total – eight brand new Pet Shop Boys’ songs plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘The last to die’. The result is as uncompromising a collection of dance anthems as Pet Shop Boys have ever made.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the duos that have shaped up electronic dance music as we know it are of course the incredible Pet Shop Boys. Their idea to work with Stuart Price at the production front is definitely a wise one cause as it seems they can rediscover the magic connection with the dancefloor and modern ravers. Vocal is simply a mindblowing track that has of course touches from the electro pop past hits but translated in a very modern language that the young people can appreciate and identify with as well. It reminds me of their unforgettable anthem Its Alright. Now the remix package will widen its appeal with magnificent set of high quality remixes. First of all is the superb Flashmob version that moves of the deep house retro sound of today. Hypnotic and very danceable that sounds lovely choice for those early dj sets at the Ibiza terraces. Cucharachas remix is an 80 minutes balearic house journey with old school feel and rave sensibility of course. Ivan Gomez & Nacha Chapado translate the track into a powerful tribal house banger with bouncy tribal beats, heavy basslines and Latin rhythm to put you in that sexy carnival mood to sweat it all out. It can be huge for USA dancefloors. Jack & Joy remix is a playful tech house version that mashes up the vocals that runs all through the track with old school house pianos and rave references as well. Mindskap remix is a balearic house meets trance version that particularly those who like Chicane for instance will love it straight away. Leonidas & Hobbes remix is super groovy acid house late night version with heavy sub bass and acid overtones taking you back where everything started with acid house. Rektchordz remix sounds so analogue and less digital. Its like coming straight from the early 80's. Lastly the fantastic Wawa provide the more upfront, prime time and ready for the peak moment of your dj set alternative version with added energy and extra strength to energize you to stay up all night long. Love IT.
