Two years ago, with "Rocket Ride", his third artist album, electronic music cosmonaut Bobina shot his sound space-bound. This year he returned with his new longplayer "Same Difference", featuring the hit singles "Quattro 372", "For Who I Am", "No Substitute For You", "Basque The Dog", "Slow MMXIII" and "Diamond Hell". The Russian Grand Master now presents the album cuts "Miami Echoes" and "Lovin' Lies".
Carving his reputation in rock after Tiësto personally asked him feature as support act on his "In Concert" tour, Bobina began his career in 2003. Still the first Russian DJ to appear in the DJ Mag Top 100 chart ever, Bobina has subsequently remixed artists such as The Thrillseekers Supermode (Axwell & Steve Angello), Armin van Buuren and Paul Oakenfold. He also added the assignment of the 17th volume of the famous In Trance We Trust mix compilation series to his discography. After the success of "Quattro 372", Bobina released "The Space Track" and “You Belong To Me”, a production made with Betsie Larkin. “No Substitute For You” was their second collaboration. Bobina's last vocal project "SlowMMXIII" featured Mariske Hekkenberg and was recently followed up with "Basque The Dog".
With "Miami Echoes", Bobina builds up a stellar floor filler incorporating house, progressive house and occasional electro elements, unleashing a massive theme that lifts every spirit in the clubs. Markus Schulz played "Miami Echoes" in his Global DJ Broadcast radio show, while Armin van Buuren spotlighted "Lovin' Lies" in episode 616 of ASOT, calling it a great uplifting track. And it is: the soothing and forgiving beauty of the synth programming turns this double titled single package with extended mixes into a true Bobina gem.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The Russian megastar Bobina strikes back with two extended mixes from his recently released album Same Difference on the legendary and highly influential Magik Muzik record label. First of all is Miami Echoes and on this one Bobina reflects and represents the current EDM sound that seems to dominate the house floors in USA. Pumping rough and raw basslines combined with pulsating dynamic beats and beautiful melodies and uplifting synths on the high levels of excellence that Bobina used to offer us through the years. If you play epic progressive house with traces of electro, tech and even bass music genres you will fell in love with this massive club rocking and shaking monster production. The EP includes something tasty strictly for the trance lovers as well. Bobina presents his instrumental mega trancer Lovin' Lies. High quality banging and booming euphoric uplifting trance as we used to get back in the days. Particularly the orchestral symphonic part in the breakdown combined with nice piano chords and euphoric synths will prepare you well for leaving the ground and enjoy the intensity and energy of the climax. With one foot in the trance classics and the other to the modern more rough and playful sound will definitely let you fly for long in your own trance skies. Two quality productions from an album that is considered to be must have. Love IT!
