REVIEW: Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash, John Martin - Reload incl Carli remix out on Positiva/Virgin UK

Refune Records founder/label boss – and one third of world-dominating, electronic superstars Swedish House Mafia - SEBASTIAN INGROSSO has teamed up with rising star, Tommy Trash and long time lyrical collaborator John Martin, for new track ‘RELOAD’. Released on June 30th, ‘RELOAD’ was originally released as an instrumental last year, this future anthem went straight to number one on Beatport and received huge support at radio with plays from Radio One, Kiss and Capital.

‘RELOAD’ showcases an exceptional blend of these two producers’ talents which is nothing short of brilliant. While the drums and pulsing, distorted bassline ensure that energy is kept at fever pitch throughout, the melody builds to its climax in a wave of soaring synths. Fellow Swede John Martin adds his unmistakable vocals (he featured on both Swedish House Mafia multiple-million selling singles ‘Save The World’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’) to make ‘RELOAD’ undoubtedly this Summer’s dance floor anthem.

‘RELOAD’ is the latest stellar installment for Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Records. Having achieved worldwide success with huge smash ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’ which also received the honour of being Radio One’s Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record Of The Year’, the label has also been behind Alesso’s solo tracks ‘Raise Your Head’ and ‘Years’, Deniz Koyu’s ‘Bong’ plus the ubiquitous smash ‘Million Voices’ from Otto Knows.

Reload lyrics

When night becomes the day
They're sending you far away
So so far away
When everything starts to fade
You don't have to be afraid
No you don't have to be afraid

Take my hand and reload
This is free love
That's what we are made of
Yes we are

When you want to get off the ground
But gravity pulls you down
Gravity pulls you down
When you feel out of place
You don't have to be afraid
No you don't have to be afraid
Chorus.....

Dimitri Kechagias review: As it seems one of the biggest club anthems of 2013 is by the very able hands of Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash with the minblowing vocals by John Martin who once again did his magic with his very strong lyrics and his incredible indie rock style performance. Reload is one of those tracks that will be played a lot in the EDM festivals but it has all the potential to reach UK Top 10 with great ease. The pumping beats, the raw and distorted basslines, the rock guitar riffs and of course the euphoric synths combined in the finest way with melancholic melodies to create the winning recipe that is Reload. Energetic, powerful, dynamic and with that summer holidays madness feel to it. I can imagine being played again and again on summer clubs and the crowd sing a long the above the average John Martin's highly emotional and moving lyrics that can uplift you straight away and can even make you cry if you are sensitive enough to feel the music deep inside you. Carli remix is added on the hot package and its true that is another great and needed addition to the excellent Extended version. Powerful club banger with rough and raw basslines, pumping beats to the maximum, excellent old school piano melody in the breakdown and the great vocal that shines on top once again. The climax is wild, weird and in your face with deadly playful squeaky basslines. Superb must have remix that's for sure. Reload is the absolute summer smash that I want to hear it again and again and sing it while I'm doing my afternoon joking! Love IT!
