Dimitri Kechagias review: The uber talented Rex Mundi from The Netherlands is back on his homebase record label Coldharbour recordings with an EP that you can not even think to miss it if you love the beautiful deep emotional progressive sound that he crafts with so much consistency for the Markus Schulz globally known record label. Hidden Treasures is an 11 minutes long trance journey into the unknown. Its pure, real and honest melodic trancer with stunning drum programming that develops so amazingly well that grabs you from the beginning, excite your fantasy and imagination and never let you go from its hypnotic soundscapes. Its packed with various sounds and melodies including ethnic and heavenly voices on top that add some kind of psy trance influence to it. You will feel lost and unprotected it in it for sure. Seek & Destroy is another mouthwatering trancer to make you loose your words, forget your name and bang your head to the wall why you are not so gifted like Rex Mundi to be able to produce an epic slammer like this one. Slightly techier than the previous one with brilliant breakdown with melodramatic drums, opera style voices and incredible cinematic or may say video game atmosphere. I can imagine even djs who play melodic techno to grab this great track.Last in our company on this top EP is the magnificent Watch. Rex Mundi presents something more straight forward progressive trance with solid, tight tribal beats, breathtaking sound effects, while warm melodies are flowing and floating upon the tough soundbase. Nearly 8 minutes of the trance we used to get in the past with that cosmic spacey mysterious and highly pleasurable sound. 3 great tracks with old school flavour in them that can perfectly communicate with the modern clubfloors for sure.
