REVIEW: Matt Davey feat. Kate Dowman - Sunrise (Here I Am) out on ASOT / Armada Music

1.Sunrise (Here I Am) (Original Mix)

It was the warm glowing highlight of his set at ASOT600 Den Bosch, and it’ll soon provide magical moments on dance floors all around the globe. With his rework of Ratty classic ‘Sunrise (Here I Am)’, UK producer Matt Davey may have just found his big break-through!

One year after his A State of Trance debut with ‘Nemesis’ and ‘Evolution’, things have really started rolling for the Nottingham based producer. A few heavyweight productions followed, as well as a much-wanted spot on the line-up for the biggest trance event in Europe, ASOT600 Den Bosch.

And that’s only just the tip of it all. With his new track ‘Sunrise’, featuring an incredible set of vocals by Kate Dowman, he delivers a production of anthem-size. He honours the legendary classic by giving it his very own twist of trance energy. Be prepared to meet this one on the floors this summer.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Its finally out and it was worth the wait. The awesome UK based producer Matt Davey offers to the trance fanatics worldwide a super mega vocal smasher that is based on the unforgettable classic Sunrise(Here I Am) by the famous Scooter side project Ratty. Sunrise is considered for many as one of the definitive Ibiza trance anthems and the idea to release it at the beginning of the Ibiza season can only be a very wise move for sure. Matt Davey is well known for his solid full on euphoric uplifting trancers and on Sunrise he does what he is known for and respected worldwide. He unleashes his powerful banging and shaking beats, the sharp and in your face driving basslines and merges them wonderfully with the classic Darude - Sandstorm sounding synthy sound. The breakdown is pure trance bliss with the high quality rework of the original vocals by Kate Dowman who elevates the track right to the next level. I can imagine only hands in the air, glow sticks and big smile in the face of the clubbers. When the beat kicks back the distorted synthy lead comes at the forefront to lead the track to the massive euphoric trancefantastic climax. Matt Davey retouches the classic and turn it into his own very personal track. Mindblowing pure trance stuff! It would be great to add Alex Morph remix to it! Love it!
