REVIEW: Chris Schweizer - One & The Kraken out on Soundpiercing / Armada Music

1.One (Original Mix)
2.The Kraken (Original Mix)

No longer a rookie to the scene, Chris Schweizer and his highly inflammable prog-electro sound are quickly gaining ground. Shortly after the booming bass of his Tomas Heredia collab has sounded, he kicks in with solo efforts ‘One’ and ‘The Kraken’. And boy, do they kick in hard!

Try resisting the side-effects of the Schweizer sound. You’ll have a hard time not to lose your mind. In the sounds of the Buenos Aires talent, you’ll find energy, a deep, pounding bass and a well-balanced mix of electro, progressive and house. ‘One’ being the more melodic, proggy of this duo, and ‘The Kraken’ being an absolute showstopper.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Soundpiercing is one of the most legendary Armada Music imprints that continue to be at the forefront of the EDM developments and particularly the trance scene that  seems to be the most innovative, creative and open minded  to influences from other styles. Chris Schweizer is a great example of that attitude in trance production. Without any particular codes and conventions at the back of  his mind adds and mixes in his tracks elements of anything that he likes and the result is a totally unique track that satisfy the modern trancers who seems to care a little about genres and give more focus on how much energy and buzz on the dancefloor can get from a particular track. Chris provides two huge club shakers for your aural pleasure and heavy dancing needs. First of all One is the more big room Dutch trance sounding track with  fat drum beats to feel them deep inside and punchy thunderous basslines to feel them in your heart. The electro influenced distorted synthy leads keep hands in the air in true epic trance style. The eclectic mixture of   explosive elements has as an outcome One track that you will remember for long. Second track is called The Kraken and is definitely a really naughty one. Techy chunky beats, rock guitar distorted basslines and the excellent vocal sample "Release The Kraker" that opens the playful sequence that various old school samples plus dubstep infusions are merged to get any human or even animal with ears dancing. The breakdown reveals an epic feel good melody that will bring smiles in your face but will not stay that way for long cause that gentleman is about to Release The Kraker once again. Some tracks pretend to be dance tracks. These two tracks are the example of what a great party track should be about. Booming stuff.  Love IT!
