On Wednesday, the 16th of October, the Chicago Social Club will be turning GREEN, when the venue hosts interactive panels about sustainability, presented by ADE in partnership with ID&T, a unique new collaboration between the global event organiser and ADE.
Always wanted to go green, but don’t know where to start? Or already well on your way and eager to share ideas with the EDM community, academics, suppliers, sponsors and other interested parties? Join us at ADE Green!
ADE and ID&T both believe in the power of sustainable innovation. That’s why we joined forces to organize ADE Green, an afternoon filled with interactive panels, discussions and debates on sustainability. You can expect presentations and case studies from representatives of leading events and organizations focusing on the problems, the solutions and best practices.
Kicking off the day will be an exploration why we really should care about a sustainable lifestyle and how to integrate sustainability into our way of doing business. We touch subjects like sustainable event management as well as offering tips about how to get started and some shortcuts to morale-building 'quick wins'. We will focus on the many green opportunities that artists and management can get involved in, and how they can inspire their fans to do the same.
ID&T founder Duncan Stutterheim will be sharing his ideas and insights on sustainable entrepreneurship at the end of the day. He will be talking about personal experiences of sustainable practices, as well as talking about the ways in which ID&T has started to leverage its brand equity with party-goers in order to positively influence their awareness and sensitivity to green issues.
ADE Green will be hosted on Wednesday 16th of October at the Chicago Social Club.
This program is accessible with both an ADE 1-Day (Wednesday) and 5-Day conference ticket. More information about individual tickets will be announced soon.
ADE's daytime conference program continues to take shape with the confirmation of a raft of top names including Nile Rodgers (US), Om'mas Keith (US), Hardwell (NL), Martin Kierszenbaum (US) and Dave Smith (US).
ADE is delighted to welcome back one of the most influential music producers in the history of popular music. Composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist Nile Rodgers first came to ADE in 2001, and now following his recent collaborations with Avicii, Chase & Status, Tensnake and Daft Punk, the highly engaging and no-nonsense Rodgers will once again be proving that if he wasn't a musician, he could easily have been a stand-up comedian.
Dave Smith, the inventor of MIDI and a mould-breaking instrument maker, will be appearing on The Gamechangers II panel, followed by a hands-on demo session at ADE Next. Smith is a true visionary who consistantly produces instruments that are years ahead of their time. His inventions have changed, and continue to change the way we make music in the profoundest of ways.
Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger, producer, and engineer Om'Mas Keith, the man behind the City Pulse album and Frank Ocean's Channel Orange, will be making his first appearance at ADE. Keith may well be more associated with urban music than techno or house, but he is before anything else a musicians' musician, as well as a highly talented producer and an acknowledged expert in advanced vocal recording techniques.
Ex-member of Maroon and senior A&R executive at Interscope Records Martin 'Cherry Cherry Boom Boom' Kierszenbaum will be a keynote speaker at ADE. In the last two years he has scored several Billboard Hot 100 number 1 records with LMFAO and Far East Movement, as well as a number 2 with Ellie Goulding's Lights, a track which also generated over three million downloads in the US alone. As if that wasn't enough, Kierszenbaum is also widely credited as being central to the development of the international careers of Eminem, the Black Eyed Peas, Nelly Furtado and Gwen Stefani.
Robert van de Corput, known to his millions of fans as Hardwell, is one of Holland's brightest and most popular global stars, and a leading figure in the new wave of Dutch electronic talent that also includes Nicky Romero and Chuckie. He released his first recordings – with Franky Rizardo - in 2006, but it was 2009's Show Me Love vs. Be that established him internationally. In 2012 he was named MTV's EDM Artist to Watch and this year has released Never Say Goodbye with Dyro.
Tickets for the ADE Conference can be purchased here.
