REVIEW: Rise And Fall - The Glow incl Richard Knott out on Monster Deep

1-Rise And Fall - The Glow (Original Mix)
2-Rise And Fall - The Glow (Richard Knott Remix)

Monster Deep land in 2013 with a seriously smooth progressive house release. Forget about the big room EDM bonanza that is smothering the true progressive house era, Rise & Fall AKA Anton Vishniakov, is a Russian native who is standing out from the crowd with this expertly crafted piece of work!

'The Glow' is a dark, deep and moody masterpiece with tons of depth and space - dark and ghostly synth melodies teeter away whilst short sharp percussion elements mould with the warm rolling bassline. A weighty lead riff defines the overall musical theme and takes you on a hypnotic journey through sound.

On the remix front we have recruited London based DJ/Producer and Eric Prydz favourite / Pryda Friends label artist Richard Knott to present his own upbeat take on the original. Stepping the energy up a gear, Richard has created a very classy interpretation, which will no doubt be a favourite with the forward thinking house elite!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The real progressive house is all about depth, atmosphere and dark sound textures. The brand new exceptional release by Rise and Fall is called The Glow and fits the description of a real proper progressive house sound that will recall the great days of the British House boom in the late 90's. The Russian star takes us on board for an amazing deep and highly cinematic journey with influences coming from artists amongst others like Danny Tenaglia or John Digweed. Tribal beats, great percussion to die for, dark organ melodies, techy edges, melodramatic strings with relentless build up of the various sound textures in order to take the audience towards a certain destination. Its the perfect warm up material for prog house/trance sets. Richard Knott offers his vision of the original that sounds dark and edgy but with tendency to be more  upfront and prime time. He introduces additional melodies and build the track from scratch according to his belief on how will be more effective on the prog house or even tech house floors. Its highly recommended. Pure Audio Pleasures. Love iT
