Jason van Wyk presents his brand new single “Winter” on the Songbird imprint.
23 year old Cape Town based DJ/producer, composer and audio engineer Jason van Wyk has been described as one of the brightest things to happen in electronic music within the last decade. He sky rocketed in the last few years with his forward thinking and a creative approach to music. Jason played alongside the big names that also supported his releases: Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Sander van Doorn and many, many more. Remix assignments came from artists such as Grammy award nominee BT, Kirsty Hawkshaw and many more and so far Jason made name with “Far From Me” and his singles “Always” and “Once Again” got featured on Cosmic Gate’s 4th volume of their “Back2Back” CD series. “September Rain” later on appeared on volume 8 of “In Search Of Sunrise”. Last year Jason released the single "Safe" in collaboration with JPL and Cat Martin, he is currently working on an upcoming artist album and now steps up to the plate with his single "Winter".

The latest magnificent release is coming from the South African future talent Jason van Wyck and is called Winter. It sounds like the official anthem of the current season. When outside is cold and your car can not move on the snowy roads rather than going out to scream why the road is not open just press play in your car sound system and hear the superb balearic guitar riffs, the melancholic piano chords and the deep haunting basslines upon the bubbly driving travelling beats. Its a soothing relaxing experience that for me is the epitome of the real trance sound. Its not about gimmicks, big synths and loud sounds. Its rather more musical, more sincere, more pure and honest trance sound. It carries you away to its glorious soundscape without even noticing it. Winter is a 'pure' balearic trance record with excellent sound design and we hope that Jason van Wyck album will carry on with the same high quality principles and standards.
