REVIEW: Beckwith - Seven Olives EP out on Anjunadeep

1-Seven Olives
2-End of Brooklyn
3-Think Wise

Enjoying recent support from Solomun, MK, MANIK and Kerri Chandler, New York's Beckwith is fast establishing himself as a one to watch in deep house circles - hooking props from both the grand masters of the sound and those pushing it forward in 2013.

Delivering another classy and considered three track EP, Beckwith's lead here - "Seven Olives" - brings together deep grooves, modern garage vibes and a musicality that Anjunadeep is renowned for.

A unique hybrid, "End Of Brooklyn" blends an unravelling progressive vibe and melodic textures with an infectious deep house groove.

Closing the EP in style, "Think Wise" is a cheeky garage bouncer that nods to legends like Todd Edwards whilst again adding its own unique melodic flavour.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional progressive eclectic house record label Anjunadeep is back with the brilliant EP by Beckwith under the general title Seven Olives. It includes 3 exceptional tracks representing the different creative faces and the varied influences that affect in one way or another  Beckwith music compositions. Firstly is Seven Olives that can be labelled as deep tech house gem with distorted male vocals jazzy atmosphere, romantic with sweet melancholy piano chords and smooth drive that can bring in your mind images of people coming to the club and warming up their body engines with Seven OlivesEnd of Brooklyn is a very deep tech houser with cool rock guitar riff upon  techy beats, bubbly funky basslines,  reversed vocals and experimental tendencies. After a short break down, an old school balearic house style melody is introduced to change the mood and atmosphere of the whole track. It becomes more summery, cheerful and romantic. It remind us of the era of purity and clarity that has unfortunately gone and some producers try to recreate it in their tracks with romantic and escapist tendencies. Lastly Think Wise is the darker tech house track with minimal techy house beats, female vocal samples, cool organ riffs, some acid touches and certainly a UK underground garage house influence. The top EP includes 3 great tracks to play throughtout  the whole year. Quality always wins and overcome any obstacles. Love IT!
