Akira Kayos and Hugh Tolland team up for the brand new single “Small Something” on the In Trance We Trust imprint.

In the past few years, Akira Kayosa has propelled himself to the forefront of the dance scene with show stopping, hands in the air performances at some of the world’s biggest venues. Having left his mark on clubbers all over the planet, Akira continues to earn international acclaim as one of the world’s hottest next generation trance DJs and producers. As a DJ, he carved out a solid reputation with pumping, emotional sets that got any dance floor moving. Now firmly established as a regular at top U.K. brands like Gatecrasher, Passion, Digital Society, Majefa and The Syndicate, Akira has played alongside the best in the industry, including Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten. Since early 2006, Akira has been releasing singles like "Unbreakable", "Cutline", "Osaru" and "Phase 3" which he produced with Bevan Miller and Carly Kling. Remix assignments include Vimana's timeless classic "We Came", "Catch 22" by Genix and "Peace" by Allure. He now joins forces with Hugh “Firestorm” Tolland.

“Small Something” has everything a DJ needs to set up a packed live performance on a sun-soaked outdoor event, pool- or beach party. The smooth Balearic, undeniably In Search of Sunrise influenced arrangement makes for a perfect mix transition during a live set and will attract everyone closer to the booth. “Small Something”, but a big hit already.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legendary trance record label In Trance We Trust is the home of quality trance releases for years now. On the same high quality material belongs the latest composition by Akira Kayosa & Hugh Tolland. It is called Small Something and can be described as melodic progressive trancer with great arrangement. Its very subtle, driving and its main melodic element is a dark distorted synthy riff that comes in certain moments to add some drama and tension to the track. Its the kind of track that progressive and tech trancers will appreciate for sure. Without overload of synths and effects keeps things tasty throughout the whole track. If you want a much more upfront and prime time makeover the fantastic talent Pizz@dox is on board with his full on euphoric uplifting trance mix that has of course the techy groovy edge of the original. The whole production is pure quality from start to finish ready to get the dancefloor moving with hands in the air. Particularly the long atmospheric breakdown and the huge airy synthy lead that appears in the climax adds certain warmth, extra power and full on crystal clear energy to the clubfloors worldwide. Top release with variety of choices. Love IT!
