With the #PureTrance stance powering the engine of his frontline return last year, Solarstone’s 2013 begins in equally floor-minded fashion with the single release of ‘Jewel’. Lifted from the tracklist of his acclaimed 2012 ‘Pure’ album, it once again teams producer Richard Mowatt with the singular vocal talents of Clare Stagg.

With the listeners of Armin van Buuren’s ASOT radio show voting their first outing together (‘The Spell’) as one of the 15 most popular trancers of 2012, the scene has been well and truly set for its follow-up.

Kicking off with his flagship Pure Mix, Solarstone elevates the tempo and tone and aims straight for big room boom. Fast running bass and fluid modulating sub-melodies all raise the mix’s mercury. Massing its pads, chords and synths, it seizes the floor with maximum traction, allowing Clare Stagg’s ethereal voice and stargazing lyrics to steal the breath at the peak of the break.

 Dimitri Kechagias review: Trance is definitely not an easy music genre to produce  as it may seems for some outsiders and not an easy genre for the big masses to understand and appreciate. One of the most important and influential producers in the trance scene is of course Rich "Solarstone" who had the chance to release on Black Hole recordings one of the best albums in EDM for 2012. Pure is the perfect title to describe the content of his album as everything he produces is purely for his love for trance music and for that reason he didn't include any tracks  on the more trendy and easy to cash music genres. The latest beauty coming from his must have album is the brilliant Jewel featuring the very unique and highly distinctive vocals by Clare Stagg. The long awaited release of the track as single is supported by two Pure trance version produced by Rich himself who has the mission to elevate the excellent album version to a higher level and he manage it so beautifully. 9 plus minutes powerful energetic pumping euphoric epic vocal trance at its best with pulsating psy trance influenced beats, driving basslines, hi-nrg melodies and those ethereal vocals by Clare who attract your attention straight away and you know that the club will be silent when this will be played and everybody will sing a long and enjoy this phenomenal ride that Rich once again produce with so much talent, emotions and stunning simplicity. The piano melody in the breakdown will touch you deeply and infect you with its sweet moody winter melancholy. The release includes the Instrumental version that will be highly appreciated and regarded from the non vocal trance lovers. Daniel Kandi is one of the most consistent trance producers who is able to deliver whatever style he likes always with big success. His brand new mix on Jewel is uplifting epic vocal trance at its very best. 138 BPM Pure euphoric trance pleasure with banging beats, driving energetic basslines and magical breakdown with Clare voice shinning on top. His climax is the perfect excuse to leave the world behind and fly on the melodic wings that Daniel knows so well to compose. Last but least the Deeper Sunrise Mix as the title suggests is a beautiful relaxing summery balearic version with great piano, playful rockish basslines and warm strings to sooth the everyday pains. Great choice for loungy, cafe del mar style sets. There are instrumental versions of the remixes for the non vocal trance lovers. It deserves Beatport trance chart number 1. Love iT!
