REVIEW: Brett Gould - Pebbles out on Wildlife / Black Hole

01. Original Mix
02. Kevin McKay Remix

Brett Gould presents his brand new single "Pebbles" on the Wildlife imprint.

Last year turned out to be a very ground breaking year for Brett. After releases on labels like Toolroom, Lowbit, Whartone and others, he was signed to Wildlife. Brett has held many residencies in some of the best clubs in London, always aware that the key to success is consistency and making good music, whether it is house, progressive, techno or a combination of the three. Brett's love for house took him to selling music in record stores in London and finally brought him the opportunity to work for a record company. It was there that he met Adam Lee to form his alternative guise called 'The Persuaders'. The two have had the longest residency at 'Electronic Sessions', famous for their back room parties at Ministry of Sound and their extraordinary sell out boat parties. Brett already graced the decks in the U.K., Europe and Asia and has shared lineups with Michael Woods, Paul Thomas, Sonny Wharton, Chris Lake, Sasha and Paul Van Dyk and was recently handpicked to play at the Deadmau5 after-party last year in Brixton for 'House Rules'.

"Pebbles" is Brett Gould's follow up to his It's Time EP from last year and features a pure house sound, but still with a progressive and slightly techy touch to it. The warm, groovy sound of the track is strongly reminiscent of summery beach parties. Keven McKay stays close to the original, but with an undeniable funky style to it, maybe the first summer hit for the new year.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Wildlife adds to  its dynamic rooster  another great talent from UK who seems to be one of the rising stars in the house scene the coming months. Brett Gould take us from the hand and give us some warm sunshine touches in the cold winter days.  His latest creation is called Pebbles and is definitely a superb deep tech house beauty that will mesmerise your senses for sure. Bubbly tech house beats, warm strings,  summery balearic melodies, jazzy guitar samples and chopped vocal samples mixed up perfectly to put a spell upon us. Its one of those tracks that lock you in its dreamworld and is hard to let you go. Kevin McKay on the other side service a fantastic  8 minutes long deep house journey with bubbly beats, groovy funky basslines, electronic style melodies and even some jazzy guitar parts. Its so smooth and relaxing that you can use it either as the perfect warm up tool in your prog house set or as the soundtrack in your 8 minutes of relaxation every day that you just close your eyes and let your imagination free travelling in sun shinning beaches, playing and throwing pebbles in the warm quite sea. Highly recommended. Love iT!
