REVIEW: Speaker Tweaker - Can't Let Go out on Fris! Black Hole recordings

1. Original Mix

Speaker Tweaker releases his debut single “Can’t Let Go” on the Fris! imprint.

Speaker Tweaker is the alter ego of the Londoner Tim Kay, nowadays living in Dubai. In the last year alone Tim Kay warmed up for Axwell, Afrojack and Avicii. He has also played with DJ Antoine, Alex Gaudino, Sandy Rivera, David Morales, Danny Rampling, Richard Grey and Judge Jules. By the time the young Tim Kay hit the legal age, his name had had already spread all over the UK and beyond. He won his first gig at Brixton Academy, playing for a crowd of 5000, which led to a summer in Ibiza the following year. He describes his music as intelligent, probing and teasing people to get into the mood for the rest of the night. The perfect example of this statement is Speaker Tweaker's new single "Can't Let Go" on the Fris! sub label of Black Hole Recordings.

"Can't Let Go" is a sparkling house track that focuses strongly on the classic house sound from labels like Strictly Rhythm. The laid back BPM brings a slightly progressive bass line to the forefront, laying the foundation for an arrangement that works perfectly on an intimate, late night deep house session.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Fris! is the cool deep house/prog house label delivered with care and love from  Black Hole recordings. The brand new release is by the hands of Speaker Tweaker who decided to produce a cool track that looks in the history of house music and provides an old school sounding track but in the modern way for 2013. It has the chunky minimal tech house beats, cool groovy basslines and nice organ melodies on top. Beautiful old school diva house style vocals are included to make it more sing a long. In the breakdown a very cool piano riff is introduced that playes a very nice and involving house rhythm that leads the track towards its great climax with added little synthy melodies and feel good atmosphere. Deep home made stuff perfect to bring back the honesty of house music. Like iT!
