Ghosts’, a sea shanty-inspired techno-pop track is the first official single from The Presets’ current album Pacifica. The ‘Ghosts’ remix bundle, with mixes by DJ Spinn, Fort Romeau, Adrian Lux, and Hermitude, is available digitally now. The video, directed by Abteen Bagheri (A$AP Rocky, Blood Orange) beautifully shot in black and white premiered on Stereogum.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Its always refreshing to discover new artists and get inspired from them. In our case The Presets unknown until now to me present their really touching track Ghosts. Great lyrics, amazing performance and new age sounds that will inspire you too. The remix package is fantastic with versions that will serve wide variety of dj sets. First of all the big epic progressive house version by Adrian Lux. Full on hands in the air big room club banger that many A list djs will adopt in their sets. Fort Romeau remix is deep tech house version with chunky tribal beats and balearic acid house touches as well. It sounds really 90's for sure. Hermitude remix is a very cool trip hop dubby version with distorted vocals and great funky atmosphere. Senor Coconut remix is a balearic dreamy latin infused chill out version that will transfer you immediately to sunny beaches with cool percussion and relaxing melodies. Lastly Spinn remix is the more electro experimental version that is very eclectic and creative too. It can crossover to the mainstream too. Love IT!
