REVIEW: Futurizm - Meh EP out on Rub A Duck/Black Hole

1. Breathe
2. Keep Talkin

Futurizm are a collaboration of 2 UK based producers comprising of N-Ton & Phear Phace, who are cousins. Following successes like officially remixing Modestep, and hitting the top 10 Beatport charts with a collaboration with Calvertron, they came together early 2012 to push the boundaries of their usual musical boundaries, taking their influences from all over the bass music spectrum.

The last 6 months have seen a number of significant signings to Heavy Artillery Recording (USA), Macro Records (USA) , whilst also recently remixing the likes of Aldo Vanuccii, Thieve (Eats Everything), Ben Westbeach, Kraak & Smaak, and Ahllex they now release their first EP on Rub A Duck.

Following an overwhelming response from some of the biggest artists in the Bass Music scene they have received radio play on BBC Introducing, 1Xtra, Rinse and Rough Tempo and feature on the Los Angles based magazine Sublvl. Their debut EP hit to No 1 on Trackitdown.

You can catch them playing alongside Rusko, Madeon, Unicorn Kid, Ed Banger, Surkin, Filthy Dukes and more by the end of year

This really is one exciting project that has just surfaced into the scene with a bang: make sure you get a piece of it!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top record label Rub A Duck that specialises in bass music delivers once again a superb EP  ready made for heavy use  to pump up your bass in your club, home or car. The first track is called Breathe and can be labelled as atmospheric dubstep with dark drum n bass influences as well. Distorted vocal samples, epic melodic themes and cinematic atmosphere to loose yourself in it. Its the kind of tripping emotional dubstep sound that can find fans on other styles as well like me. Keep Talkin is another massive rocking nu rave sounding excursion with great idea to merge 4 to 4 beats with dubstep influences and in that way to bring something really delicious, futuristic and very exciting too. If you like music that breaks, rules, conventions don't miss these boyzzz. Like IT!
