The release of the latest anthem You & I by Mario Fischetti and Klauss Goulart on CR2 records is slowly climbing the charts. One of the reasons behind its success is of course the stunning vocals performed superbly by Kid Alien. So I decided to request an interview from the voice of that big room epic prog house banger who is of course the mysterious Kid Alien. Lets check out how this great collaboration came about and more about the backstage of this not to be missed release. Its highly recommended to read it.
Interview is written and conducted by Dimitri Kechagias, Radio/Dj/Music Journalist
Dimitri: When did you start to sing and which EDM tracks that you sing are the biggest and most considerable success story for you?
Kid Alien: I've been singing since I was young--I grew up singing in church, majored in classical vocal performance in college, and I've also done R&B and pop vocals. My biggest success story was my first release, The Atmosphere, which ended up on Universal Religion 5 and on Armin's Armind imprint.
Dimitri: How do you met up with the producers of the track and you decide to collaborate on You & I ?
Kid Alien: I am also the editor of LessThan3.com. Whenever Klauss's track Maximum came out, I reviewed it on LessThan3, and he really liked the review and we got in touch because of it, and it just went from there. Mario and Klauss are DJ/producer friends in Brazil.
Dimitri: How long it took you to write the lyrics and have you manage to record them in one or multiple takes?
Kid Alien: I wrote the lyrics for You & I in one night, and the entire recording process was about thirty minutes.

Dimitri: Did you actually met the producers or the whole track was completed by distance?
Kid Alien: The whole track was done long distance--I've done 3 tracks with Klauss at this point and I still haven't met him in person.
Kid Alien: I honestly have a list the length of my arm, but if I had to narrow it down to a few highlights, I'd say Mariah Carey, Brian McKnight, Tonex, Justine Suissa, and Beyonce are some big ones.
Dimitri: The lyrics of the song from where did you get the inspiration for them? Do they describe something personal?
Kid Alien: The idea behind the song was to speak into the lives of listeners who have allowed their own fears and insecurities to keep them from going after what really matters in their lives. I always try and make sure that the songs I write have a message. It is a great privilege to be able to stand up in front of a crowd and speak your mind. You can easily sway people's emotions and opinions--this is why music has been at the forefront of many cultural revolutions. With this power comes a responsibility to impart thoughts to the listener that can free their minds, expand their intelligence, and heal them if they are hurting.

Dimitri: About your future collaborations. Any more tracks
coming with which producers and with which labels
Kid Alien: I also produce, so I'm currently working on a remix for rapper Maluca, and I'm also working on a new track with Klauss and my production partner Starchild. The one with Starchild is going to be a very uplifting, trancey piano house track--I'm very excited about it. Can't wait to share with you!
