REVIEW: Velvetine - The Great Divide(The Remixes) out on Anjunabeats

1- Myon & Shane 54 Summer of Love mix/dub
2-Original intro mix
3-Soundprank remix/dub
4-Seven Lions remix

Having already taken the top spot in the Beatport Trance Chart, "The Great Divide" by Velvetine (aka Myon & Shane 54 and Aruna) returns with two stunning remixes from Myon & Shane 54 themselves and Canadian progressive master Soundprank.

Seemingly ever-present in Above & Beyond's DJ sets, the Hungarian duo of Myon & Shane 54 continue to establish themselves as some of the most sought-after remixers in the game with their uplifting Summer Of Love sound. Responsible for adding a fresh twist to everyone from Hybrid to Craig David, the pair inject Aruna's vocals with their trademark euphoric synth surge, creating a brighter, peak-time alternative to the Velvetine original.

Anjunadeep favourite Soundprank makes his Anjunabeats debut with a characteristically electro-fused groover. Now firmly moving his sound to the big room and courting the attention of Radio 1, his uptempo remix is full of modern funk fuelled bass and stylish sounds - also included in dub form.

Also included on this package is the epic and atmospheric intro mix of the original.

Following his Beatport dubstep chart topping remix of of Above & Beyond's "You Got To Go" and "On My Way To Heaven", Californian dubstep sensation Seven Lions returns to Anjunabeats - this time taking on Velvetine's vocal epic "The Great Divide".

Counting the likes of Zane Lowe and Porter Robinson amongst his fans, Seven Lions aka Jeff Montalvo again weaves a journey that balances bass-dripping darkness with mind-melting melodic twists. All packaged up in his unique trance-step style, this latest Seven Lions remix pushes all the right buttons once more - coming in both original and dub forms.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the biggest anthems of 2012 returns with a huge package of remixes to satisfy every possible taste in EDM. Velvetine is the common project of Myon & Shane 54 and the lovely Aruna. Their track Great Divide in its original form was simply magical and now the remixes are supporting the track to reach the highest heights. Myon & Shane 54 Summer of Love mix is the big room, full on and very proglifting alternative that has the energy and stamina to move stadium size crowds along with its lovely strings, hair raising synths and bubbly delicious balearic tribalish beats and driving electro kissed basslines. Its definitely the track that will become your peak time weapon and the one that will stand out and all the spotlight will fall  upon it. The Original intro mix is the version that you need if you are thinking to start your set with this stunning track and build upon your mystical majestic trance journey. Cinematic and very atmospheric ambient intro that will bring thousands of mental images in your mind. Soundprank is one of the upcoming talents in the scene who is slowly establishing great reputation with his quality productions. His remix that stands between progressive house and trance is very upbeat, optimistic, colourful, blissful and definitely has very different vibes from the original mix. Its more flirty, playful and with some jazzy touches too. Last but not least Seven Lions service their own quality brand of dubstep that is not rough or aggressive. Its rather very atmospheric and trippy with breaks and lounge influences in it. Amazing melodies and the superb Aruna shinning on top. One of the biggest tracks of 2012 gets the remixes that deserves. Love it!
