The NME, RWD Mag, and The Guardian in the UK has reported on it, as she had just signed her contract: Ellie Goulding.

The London-based vocal wonder the critics had hit a nerve. Her voice is soft and striking at the same time - subtle and intense.

Her debut album "Lights" flew directly from 0 to 1 on the UK charts, she won the "Critic's Choice Award" at the Brit Awards in 2010 and was winner of the "BBC Sound of 2010".

That can only mean one thing: Ellie Goulding is anything but an average singer who swims in large pot of "Electro Pop" acts on the surface.

Now finally on 05.10.2012 the long-awaited successor to "Halcyon" will appear.

"This album is for me like a journey from darkness into light, from confusion to understanding" Ellie Goulding

The "Halcyon" is as successful as "Lights" (one and a half million albums sold, 5 million singles worldwide sales), no one doubts. One indication of this is the pre-single "Hanging On feat. Tinie Tempah "that was provided in advance as a free download.

Over one million Plays / Views of the track was already on Youtube and Soundcloud. The crowd of fans was so great that Soundlcoud crashed in the meantime.

Ellie Goulding's sound is anything but intentional or copied. Certainly it makes music that appeals to many people, but their songs are too complex to be interesting to weird to dismiss them as obvious. And it also proves on her new album "Halcyon" and the accompanying single "Anything Could Happen".

The album "Halcyon" released on 05.10.2012

Dimitri Kechagias review: Another superb voice of the pop world  releases her new single supported by great electro remixes perfect for eclectic type of sets. Ellie Goulding is definitely a strange creature and beautiful voice that has the great gift of being unique, different and able to stand out from the rest. Her voice has a retro appeal as well as it has influences from great singers of the soul era as well. The original version of Anything Could Happen is a very rhythmic playful groovy electro track that the main element is the beautiful voice of Ellie and the great lyrics that need many times to listen to them in order to understand  them for that reason you get enjoyment from it even if you listen to it more than 10 times on repeat mode. The remixes that support this unusual but really lovely track are moving on the electro breaks and dub territory. Blood Diamond remix is an atmospheric electro meets breaks style version with some dubstep infusions as well. Birdy Nam Nam remix is a very creative version that has a pseudo-dub/electro pop sound with great use of the vocals with plenty of distortions and playful atmosphere to it. Lastly Submerse remix is a superb chill out/lounge version that will relax and sooth your senses straight away with some drum n bass touches as well. Cinematic version for sure that is tranquil as the water too. Absolutely stunning performer with a great track too. Love it!
