REVIEW: Michael Badal - North Shore on In Trance We Trust/Black Hole

1. Original
2. Radio Edit

Michael Badal releases his new single “North Shore” on the In Trance We Trust imprint.

In 2006, at the age of 17, Michael got his first record label signing with Baroque Records imprint. He followed with his debut single, "One Night", with a remix for Lustral's "A Quiet Revolution". Michael would go on to remix the likes of Above & Beyond's "Home" on Anjunabeats. Then Tiësto came along for the ride and discovered the tune "Colours". He would go on to support the track on his Club Life radio program and In Search Of Sunrise 6 world tour. The success continued with "Don't Be Afraid", which Michael recorded with Tiff Lacey. His later collaboration with partner Zya on "Legato" saw their first Black Hole release with inclusion on Mr Sam's "Opus Secundo". Michael also went on to remix for the likes of Andy Moor, Myon & Shane 54, Ernesto vs Bastian and Niklas Harding. Finally his track "Deltree" saw an opening spot on Richard Durand's "In Search Of Sunrise 8: South Africa", so the future has a lot in store for Michael.

“North Shore” shows that in the last six years Michael’s sounds has grown. With a nod and a wink to his previous releases that appeared on the ISOS 8 mix compilation, “North Shore” has everything in it to receive the title ‘Balearic’. The arrangement with crisp beats and Mediterranean sounding synths is perfectly supported by a relatively slower than usual BPM and is tailor made for the late night beach- and pool parties.

Dimitri Kechagias review: In Trance We Trust represents the wide variety of trance styles that cater for different moments of your dj set. The brand new release comes from the very able hands of Michael Badal who delivers quality originals and remixes always on the progressive side of the spectrum. The brand new track is called North Shore and is definitely one of those tracks that can slowly warm the audience on the dancefloor or listen to it at home while you are having your Sunday barbecue with friends. Its blissful with balearic trance feel to it with relaxing melodies and amazing driving beats that you leave yourself to pull into its sonic soundscape in order to  lead you  in another more friendly and relaxed place for sure. Close your eyes and let the body flow upon the beats like swimming in the night towards the most secret and hard to find island. The  soundwaves splashing all over your body and you are totally lost in the balearic music that Michael Badal so well knows to compose and impress too. Balearic trance at its best! Love IT!
