Hectic (a.k.a. Tim Fitzpatrick) is a machine when it comes to releasing good underground bass music.
His fourth EP on Rub A Duck is his biggest so far with 4 amazing new productions.
This time he received help from singer Leighanna and the remix talent from Indian label friend Sound Avtar and Slovakian drum'n'bass producer L Plus.
Hectic has been a solid powerhouse of the Rub A Duck label with his productions, serving the underground from where it all started: London.
His latest EP, Game Over, stormed the Breaks charts on Beatport and this follow up is ready to do the same for the glitchhop, dubstep and drum n bass charts.
This EP is pretty diverse with his glitchhop production Believe and Achieve featuring the vocals of fellow Londoner Leighanna. Believe and Achieve immediately brings back memories to early garage tracks with a modern twist.
L Plus from the illustrious Technique Recordings brings the track straight to the club with a slamming Drumstep remix. Heavy bass and immense drum patterns fit the vocals from Leighanna and are perfect for peaktime drum n bass sets.
Indian producer Sound Avtar delivers a signature dubstep remix for the heavy bass lovers.
The whole package is brought together by The Floor. A heavy and inventive slice of bass music.
With the Believe and Achieve EP, Hectic is ready to get worldwide recognition for his upfront productions!
Dimitri Kechagias review: One Year in Bass for Rub A Duck, the Dutch record label that against all odds manage to establish its own sound and even become the light for the dubstep/bass movement to grow in the Netherlands. Now its time for their latest release that will win your admiration even if you dont consider yourself fanatic of this sound like myself. I appreciate the good things in all styles of music and this release has definitely a sparkle that will burn your dancefloor. The original mix is a slow burner perfect for chill out/break sets in Ibiza. The remixers rework the cinematic original into a banging rough and furious club cracker. L'Plus remix is mindblowing. Full on drums and bass version with plenty of energy and awesome use of those brilliant vocals. Sound Avtar Remix is dubstep of the finest quality. So creative and inventive with streched to the maximum basslines, playful maddening themes and the cool vocals on top. Just close your eyes and enjoy the fantastic breakdown with piano melodies and that electrified riff leading the track on a booming bass extravaganza. The EP includes the very cool breaks anthem The Floor. With old school influences and dubstep fusions will rock your floor. Check it out.
