1-Monolith(Club mix)
2-Maor Levi remix
3-Polylith(Original mix)
The latest single to be taken from Andrew Bayer's acclaimed "It's Artificial" album, the hypnotic prog monster "Monolith" is a typically intricate and epic production from the prolific US producer.
With echoes of the Border Community sound, a haunting piano breakdown and a gargantuan drop, "Monolith" lives up its name in every sense.
Its slightly more electro-edged sister "Polylith" retains the hypnotic vibe but adds a darker underside and a thumping drop.
Rounding things off, Israeli innovator Maor Levi transforms "Monolith" into a twisted tech-trance groover with an uplifting breakdown.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The eclectic EDM album "It's Artificial" by Andrew Bayer finds slowly its way to the dancefloor with the single releases of some of the best tracks taken from one of the most innovative and forward thinking albums released lately. The latest two great gems from it are the impressive Monolith and Polylith. Monolith is a deep progressive house track with acid influences, deep throbbing basslines and very atmospheric piano breakdown. Its definitely the track that will bring dark moods on the dancefloor and will recall great classics by artists such as Hardfloor or even Underworld. Superb production supported by Maor Levi who delivers a playful progressive house meets trance version that is ready for peak time of course. Chunky groovy drum beats, electro kissed basslines and funky feel drives the track forward to its great long atmospheric breakdown. The climax is full on and upfront right in your face. Polylith is another superb acid house cut that is the darker and more sinister of the two with intense acid basslines, techno influences and deep mysterious atmosphere. I can imagine many USA Detroit techno djs adopting this tune in their sets. Definitely not the usual Anjunabeats sound. Let yourself be surprised. Love IT!
