REVIEW: Zinnat - Reborned EP out on Rub A Duck/Black Hole

01. Reborned
02. The Future
03. Now

Zinnat presents his debut on the Rub A Duck imprint. The titles featured are “Reborned”, “The Future” and “Now”.

Zinnat, better known to his friends and family as Miroslav Stefanov Nikolov, is absolutely one of the biggest artists to represent dubstep in Bulgaria. As the driving force behind the culture of dubstep he gets involved with big dubstep events under the SoundForia and Platform moniker; one of his most recent achievements in that field was “This Is Dubstep”, which took place in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia at the famous Club 4KM. Working close together with the Extreme Bass Syndicate it is no secret that it’s Zinnat’s goal bring people together with the music that introduced him to a wider audience; it all happened when he released his first track, also under the SoundForia alias, on the Tsunami Audio imprint. His blend of hard smashing rhythms and manic bass lines put his name on the map and the rest is history.

For this brand new Rub A Duck release, Zinnat perfectly lives up to his reputation and showcases his skills in the three titles “Reborned”, “The Future” and “Now”. The rough and slightly industrial strength style of dubstep that he delivers here also breathes a refreshing bit of glitch hop. DJs better watch their bass bins for this magnificent three track package by that guy you will definitely hear more from: Zinnat.

Dimitri Kechagias review: It's great to see how the dubstep sounds starts to expand all over the world and radiate its influence to young producers who seems to have found on dubstep the dynamism and energy that any dancefloor wants. Zinnat straight from Bulgaria presents on the high profile label Rub a Duck his Reborned EP and better be prepared for the unexpected. The original is a heavy bass banging full of cool distortions effects and haunting sound effects that create its cinematic atmosphere. What stands out on this for me is that melody used that recalls themes from Paul van Dyk tracks. The Future is another exceptional production with fantastic vocal sample, ambient intro and great rocking basslines combined with smooth relaxing themes that will be hard to stay untouched from them. Trippy, imaginative and certainly perfect for TV series or film soundtrack. Lastly Now starts with cool funky playful intro, then a witty male spoken vocal sample introduces us to its main part that has a hip hop edge to it. You can even name it as hipstep. Great composition that will make you dance along with it and stretch your arms really high! Top stuff! Love IT!
