1- Contrast (Oliver Smith Remix)
2 - Contrast (Nitrous Oxide Remix)
3 - Contrast (Sunny Lax's Insane Mix)
With the Original Mix having featured on Above & Beyond's "Anjunabeats Volume 9" compilation, "Contrast" by Hungarian born Levente Márton, aka Sunny Lax, gets a fresh lease of life with 3 diverse reworkings.
A master of high energy trance, Nitrous Oxide adds his own peak time wizardry with pulsating pads and rich bass ramping up the energy to the max.
Fresh from his recent singles "Progress" and "Under The Wire", the prolific Oliver Smith supplies his own groovy and tech inspired progressive rework to the package; featuring a free flowing piano melody.
Finally, we also get a new take on the track from Levente himself. Sunny Lax's Insane Mix lives up to its name with dirty grooves, snappy percussion and imaginative twists on the original.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Sunny Lax is one of the most innovative producers with great understanding for nice melodies and tight ready for club action productions. Contrast in its original form is an amazing track that you don't forget easily after hearing it once. It sounds great idea to commission a fantastic remix package for it that is finally out on Anjunabeats. First of all is the superb talent Oliver Smith who offers a very energetic proglifting version with groovy chunky tribal style drum beats, electronic melodies on top and relentless build up of the various elements until to rest for a while in the breakdown and then to move on towards its climax that all the sound layers are merged together to offer that magic moment we all wait to get within a superb melodic anthem like this one. Oliver Smith at his best and most creative period for sure. Next is another huge Anjunabeats in house talent. Nitrous Oxide is the finest choice to utilise the original melody to its highest potential and he delivers an uplifting euphoric banger that will be a summer festivals favourite for sure. Tough rocking drum beats, driving basslines and dreamy piano melodies combined with heavenly style vocals and awesome hair raising synths that will send shivers from head to toe. Lastly Sunny Lax offers his own creative take with a deeper techier playful groovy and with raw edges version perfect when you want to relax your audience but at the same time keep them on the dancefloor! Summer Anthem Alert. Love iT!
