REVIEW: Zedd feat. Matthew Koma - Spectrum out on Interscope/Universal

1-Extended mix
2-Radio edit

With his mentors Lady Gaga and Skrillex , Anton Zaslavski aka Zedd has blossomed around the world in no time and become one of the most sought after DJs.   He took the first musical steps as a member of a post-hardcore band, later he contacted Skrillex with  Myspace , and Skrillex took  Zedd track in his set.  Zedd in 2011 accompanied him even  to tour the States and Europe and established  quickly a growing fan base.  Zedd's tuneful widescreen synths also convinced Lady Gaga, who promptly gave him a couple of remixes of her songs. Soon he also remixed tracks from The Black Eyed Peas, Fatboy Slim and his mentor Skrillex.  Then came the record deal with Interscope and appearances at several U.S. festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. Zedd is currently traveling as a tour support with Lady Gaga across Asia.  With "Spectrum" feat. Matthew Coma,  Zedd now presents his first single, which landed directly on the number 1 Beatport charts.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Zedd represents where  the mainstream scene is heading at the moment. Someone can even declare that rock as we know it in the past is  dead and slowly is replaced from  that  new breed of EDM music that is equally powerful and revolutionary as rock was in the 70's for instance. Rock from being at  the center slowly moves to the periphery of the music bussiness and that new  EDM styles get the spotlight and major attention from the public. Zedd sound is a magnificent hybrid of epic progressive house and dubstep with trancy melodies in the breakdown. Spectrum feat Matthew Koma is his first track from his forthcoming album released soon via Interscope and deserves 100% the attention it gets in the clubs and digital media world. Its  a dynamic, optimistic, euphoric song with great vocals to sing a long loud and proud. Of course its rough and raw basslines makes this anthem the ultimate club banger for this summer. Very soon will conquer the mainstream radio charts as well. Love IT!
