Tomcraft and Kosmo Records has always been a unit which left a lasting impression.
After a five year break, Tomcraft is now returning to it's former Homebase Kosmo Records with a
small series of releases to celebrate his 20th DJ anniversary appropriately with the very same label he was most successful with.
small series of releases to celebrate his 20th DJ anniversary appropriately with the very same label he was most successful with.
The first release already shows the vigorous effect of this set-up: A massive re-work of the dark electro-smash hit "Overdose". This track has still been - apart from the mega hit "Loneliness" (UK No. 1) the "most requested track" of the DJ set by Tomcraft.
The original from 2002 was already produced by Tomcraft and the sound genius Eniac, and also with the 2012 version both are at their best again.
A Tomcraft track has never sounded more fresh, crisp and "up to date" before until this. It seemsTomcraft resembles a good red wine, it doesn't age but only becomes more precious and valuable.
Kosmo Records is particularly proud of this renewed collaboration and the release.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The classic loved and trusted record label of Kosmo records from Munich brings back with fresh and very exciting remixes for the new generations the classic anthem Overdose produced by Tomcraft and his studio partner Eniac. This is the first release from the forthcoming Tomcraft Best Of album that I'm sure all his fans worldwide expect with great anticipation. Overdose 2012 comes in 3 massive versions that will be supported in the coming months from any A list dj that you can think of. His music has the ability to cross over from progressive house to electro and even progressive trance sets very easily. The Club mix is a powerful electro infused progressive house banger that starts with a nice melodic intro and then goes full on. On top the classic vocal sample that will bring back memories to the old heads out there. The breakdown reveals the classic synthy electroish riff plus the spoken vocal sample. Very soon builds up into frenzy for the massive banging climax. Updated, refreshed and reshaped for the big rooms for sure. The Vocal Club mix is rocking and very driving as well with short breakdown that the spoken vocal sample is the focus point of it. The big surprise is that this version includes brand new female vocals that add a totally different perspective on the track. In its main part that works as its climax additional melodic layers are added as well along with the vocals to deliver the ultimate euphoria. Last but not least the excellent Eniac provides his own nu rave/electro house version that is charged with high adrenaline levels in order to electrify the listener. His breakdown is pure party power with clapping effects and the vocal samples teasing the listener for the very energetic and pumping climax. Electronic with techy edges this remix is underground and overground at the same time. Don't miss the re-release of this golden classic! Love iT!
