A dancefloor killer and musical journey rolled into one, the extended mix of "The Sky" builds elegantly with a symphony of synths and leads into a sweeping breakdown full of warm melodies and Schossow's distinctive, searching tones. Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the hottest and most upcoming producers from the Anjunabeats camp releases his brand new track which has all the elements to call it an anthem. Of course with Mat Zo is hard to categorize him under the conventional genres. His music is something really personal and extremely unique so its not just trance, house or dubstep. His music is a melting pot of styles that reflects his ability to combine his influences and this time he even goes one step further as he presents his first ever vocal track The Sky with the lovely and extremely sexy Linnea Schossow. You can find two great versions that will satisfy wide variety of audiences. The Club mix is a tough fast forward thinking track with progressive and electro house elements plus nu rave and dubstep sequences. The vocal sounds quite distant and detached from the track as Linnea is so fragile and the soundbed is so harsh and rough in a way. This contrast is exactly what makes special this track of course. The extended version on the other side uses the full vocal and is the more melodic approach that will satisfy particularly friends of the Deadmau5 industrial but very melodic sound at the same time. Bouncy and driving is the version that the prog trance djs can use in their sets. Particularly wait for the massive breakdown that Mat Zo reveals the huge hair raising turbo size synthy riff that will blow many roofs and raise many hands in the air! Once again Mat Zo proves why for many is characterised as one of the big hopes for the future and I can imagine many pop stars asking him to produce their albums. He is a genius. Love iT!
