REVIEW: Helion Tide - Spire EP out on Unearthed Records

1 - Spire (Original Mix)
2 - The Last Cosmonaut (Original Mix)
3 - Nibiru Sunrise (Original Mix)

Bryan Mason is the next producer to grace Unearthed Records with a 3 track EP under his Helion Tide guise. The first track of the bunch is Spire, the title track of the EP. Spire is a beautiful original piece of trance with a simply gorgeous orchestral breakdown which culminates in a massive plucky saw lead, euphoric bliss!

The Last Cosmonaut is the second track from this new producer. A more laid back affair here, again with an orchestral breakdown but with a less in your face, gentle lead riff and a more groovy, melodic mainsection.

The third track on the EP is Nibiru Sunrise and is an altogether darker piece of trance. Nibiru Sunrise builds delicately with a chunky bassline, cool transitions and a melancholic edged main riff.

Dimitri Kechagias review:   Unearthed records is the label that rocks and releases tracks that belong to various substyles of trance. Helion Tide presents his great Spire EP that include 3 superb tracks that follow the 132 BPM melodic progressive trance style with great success. Sprire is a driving melodic progressive trancer that flows really nicely with driving basslines and very strong melancholic melodic theme that is fully revealed in the breakdown with a big orchestral style part with piano, violin and strings creating a magical atmosphere. The big synths take over and drive the track towards its pumping climax that will carry you away and transfer you to a different dimension. The Last Cosmonaut is a great hybrid of progressive and tech trance that is bouncy and rocking with very large breakdown that includes ethereal melodies and big room epic synths to make you feel floating in space like the last Cosmonaut. The climax is full on with great slamming beats and the epic melody on top offering trance pleasure to your crowd. Nibiru Sunrise is the last track of the EP and closes off the proceedings really successfully. Uplifting progressive trance at its finest with tough rocking beats, sharp electroish basslines and big room epic melodic theme in the breakdown that is quite dark and melancholic as well. Solid, rounded sounds from an artist that seems to be on the right track with this fantastic EP. Love IT!
