REVIEW: Drama - NOBODY / Tru-Story out on Flux Delux/Recoverworld

1-NOBODY
2-Tru-Story

As we hit the half century of Flux Delux single releases, it is fitting that we should turn to Drama for a release suitable to mark the occasion.

Drama is one of those producers who is comfortable across many styles and always delivers tracks of the highest quality.

His label CV includes Flux Delux (of course), Eve Records and Detox and his styles range from trance through to techno with a few surprises in between.

Here he delivers a two track E.P. starting with the NOBODY, the deepest of the two tracks paired with Tru-Story, an altogether more anthemic offering.

Dimitri Kechagias review: If you search for uplifting trance bangers you should always check out the superb label Flux Delux part of the very successful Recoverworld label group. The latest release comes from the hands of the artist with the name Drama who service two strong uplifting bouncers.   NOBODY is a sharp tech influenced tribal trancer with quite dark atmosphere, chopped vocals,  and driving basslines that lead us on a very atmospheric breakdown that a nice uplifting synthy line is revealed to lead the track towards its peak in the climax of it.  Tru-Story has a very nice old school feel to it with beats and basslines that recall trance of the early 2000. Dynamic and powerful with chopped ah ah style vocals and piano melody that adds a romantic feel to it along with some cool strings to create a melodramatic tension until to release it in its uplifting climax. Pure and simple trancers. Like it!
