REVIEW: Beat Factory - No Way Out out on Baroque records

1-Original Mix
2-The Soul Elephant Remix
3-Chris Drifter & Steve Valentine Remix

Beat factory are back with us at Baroque.. purveyors of fine funk & devastating deep house, lay down their new offering , with remixes from The Soul Elephant, Chris drifter & Steve Valentine

The 'Original Mix' moves off with rolling grooves, sweet little knock drums and a low thumpin bass, little melodies creep in before dark guitar strings and floating pads add some real vibe.. this one really is overflowing funk

The first of the mixes is 'The Soul Elephant Remix', with its big drum groove from the start, subtle and deep but still powerful, the pads gently rise & the melody floats as the relentless groove drives on.. heads down & lose yourself moment here!

Finally the 'Chris Drifter & Steve Valentine Remix' is a more energetic take, with its beat & offset organ, the bass licks in and the percussion pushes upwards before some dirty little synths and fluttering hooks build to the pinball melodies. damn funky & damn fine

Dimitri Kechagias review: Once again Baroque records expands our EDM boundaries and deliver a fantastic new release straight from Canada. The very cool Beat Factory take us to a deep journey that is dark with subliminal melodic layers and cinematic atmosphere.  The superb Soul Elephant transforms the track into a much more upfront affair with tribal grooves, deep basslines, and melodic layers that are highlighted in order to add a colourful edge to the darker original. Chris Drifter & Steve Valentine Remix is a bouncier affair that is a bit faster with chopped vocal samples and balearic house feel to it with the main melodic themes recalling the golden age of the UK progressive house scene. Three quality productions that push the boundaries and the future of EDM sounds forward. Love iT!
