Italian producer Amex teams up with Ukrainian's Smart Apes, delivering a double-track EP EQuinox / Smash It Up on Future Focus Recordings.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Future Focus recordings builds slowly its strong reputation with another super smashing production by Amex and Smart Apes. The talented artists despite being far away combine their creative forces to deliver the EQuinox EP. The title track EQuinox is a big room progressive trancer with techy and nu rave elements merged with epic Swedish prog house style in order to deliver a very unique hybrid of styles perfect to rock and become the main anthem on any party or festival that appreciates the fat and stompin sounds. The breakdown reveals the big room synthy that will drive mad the clubbers and lead the track towards the damaging main part. The Alternative mix is playful version with dirty grungy twisted beats and raw basslines combined with cool melodic theme in the breakdown. Smash It Up is the 3rd track included and I must say that this is my favourite. It starts quite minimal with just percussion before the edgy electro style synthy is revealed to drive the track with heavy drumbeat to the large breakdown that strong piano melody is merged with epic synthy riffs just before the beat kicks back for the superb climax that is pure hands in the air pleasure. This top notch EP will unite thousands of clubbers and festival goers by getting support from djs who play wide variety of styles. Love iT!
